Guna Test
Think of the Gunas as your natural tendencies—how you act and respond. Right now, you can observe the actions you show the world and also the inner actions of your mind—how you think about yourself and what you see. These actions reveal which Guna is active.
Our actions are our responsibility, but each Guna subtly influences them. Sattva, the Sattvic Guna, is your true self—calm, connected, and beyond the mind. It allows you to observe both inner and outer actions with clarity.
In contrast, Rajas, or the Rajasic Guna, is the energy of activity, ambition, and restlessness. It drives desire, craving, and action—but can lead to agitation if unchecked.
Then, Tamas, or the Tamasic Guna, is the energy of inertia, darkness, and ignorance. It can create confusion, laziness, or a lack of clarity.
By knowing the Gunas, you recognize the source of your actions and gain the ability to choose differently. Ask yourself: how do you want others to experience you? That question is the heart of becoming more conscious. Once you are aware, you can steer your actions, like a driver guiding an engine, and bring balance by moving toward Sattva.
